If you’re Trevor Lawrence, this is the perfect way to celebrate a win. Of course it involves Waffle House, but rather than going to a favorite location the Jaguars quarterback brought the comfort food to team headquarters.

Specifically, Lawrence bought enough food to cater a meal for 150 people who work for the Jaguars organization. Now, that’s showing some gratitude. The Jacksonville social media team posted a video showing Lawrence elbow-bumping with the Waffle House crew maintaining the buffet.

Take a look at “Steezy Trev” celebrating “Victory Monday” with the Jaguars employees. Steezy means that Lawrence sports that easy style.

Lawrence celebrated Jaguars’ playoff win at Waffle House

So why Waffle House (as if you have to ask)? As a good southern boy, Lawrence knows the joys of eating breakfast there after a night on the town. Back in January, Lawrence’s night on the town was a wildcard playoff game against the Chargers. The Jaguars blew through LA’s 27-point lead to win 31-30. The team’s playoff hopes ended the next week in Kansas City with the Jaguars falling to the Chiefs. He celebrated with some postgame breakfast with a bunch of other Jaguars fans.

So there always will be the Jacksonville Beach Waffle House.

So now, why did Lawrence feel like partying with the Jaguars front office Monday afternoon? Well, it is Thanksgiving week. However, the Jaguars beat the Titans with ease, knocking them off 34-13 to take their record to 7-3. The game allowed Jacksonville to bounce back after an overwhelming loss to the 49ers, 34-3.

Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said it lifted team spirits to respond to a bad loss by posting a dominating win.

“Sometimes it’s easier after a loss than it is a win,” Pederson told reporters. “Really, we all had to kind of soul-search a little bit. We all had to look in the mirror and see if there were things we could do differently, or I could help the team differently and how I message the football team. Really, I just wanted to keep things simple. I didn’t want to clutter their mind.

“Yeah, you get blown out in a game a week ago, but when you really boil it down, it came down to the four giveaways and in the critical situations that we did last week. We didn’t do that (Sunday). When you do that, you have better success. You put it back on the leadership of the team and let them drive the team a little bit.”

The Jaguars next play the upstart Texans, which beat them in the first game. And good food news for Lawrence. There are Waffle Houses in Houston.
