Viral Los Angeles Chargers super fan Merianne Do showed up for her team once again, this time at Arrowhead Stadium. She brought her theatrics to the Chargers game against the Chiefs, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to give them the advantage against Patrick Mahomes who took the victory 31-17.

The cameras found her once again in Arrowhead Stadium as she signaled animatedly with her arms and hands in the stands. Even though the Chiefs’ new biggest fan, Taylor Swift, was once again in the house, the cameras had plenty of time for Do as well.

Do went viral in Week 6 when she was at the Los Angeles game against the Cowboys with her husband, Tuan Pham. The two are avid fans and frequently purchase field-level box tickets. After the game, they asked the Chargers’ director of premium seating to release their names and let people know they’re very real fans when some fans began circulating that they were potentially paid actors.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network shared video of the Chargers fan. Hee added: “Sorry, conspiracy theorists: The #Chargers fan who went viral Monday night and her husband are season ticket holders who rent cabana suites every season for multiple games, I’m told. They’re true diehard fans — not actors — and wanted to get the word out.”

Do denies getting paid to be Chargers fan

On the Pat McAfee Show last week, Do cleared up the speculation herself.

“I wish I was getting paid! But this is me guys, a crazy mom of four, crazy Chargers fan and a crazy football fan,” Do explained to Pat McAfee after one of his frequent guests, Aaron Rodgers, suggested she was a plant.

“All the moms text me asking ‘Why are people saying you are a fake? This is how you are!’ I guess my poor kids have to deal with this every day but now, it is crazy that the world thinks this is different because my kids have dealt with this in their lives.

“I wear my heart on my sleeve and I’m intense in everything I do. I’ve been a football fan for as long as I can remember and I’m passionate about it.”

The Chargers social media team embraced the viral moment, even if their team didn’t win. They changed the profile photo for their team account on X to a photo of Do.

This week, Los Angeles has a bounce-back opportunity against the Chicago Bears at home.
