Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow has been having a breakout year. Tonight against the LA Chargers on Sunday Night Football, he’s once again showing that he’s one of the best route runners in football.

Watch below as he shook Chargers’ corner Michael Davis out of his shoes.

Simply put, that’s one of the prettiest routes you’ll see run all season long in the NFL. Renfrow set that up beautifully.

With his 12-yard touchdown catch, the former Clemson star put the Raiders up 10-0. He’s been one of the best route runners in the National Football League the past few years and his chemistry with Derek Carr is among the best in the league.

An unstoppable QB-WR connection

Eight of Derek Carr’s 16 red zone touchdown passes this season have gone to Renfrow. His eight touchdown catches in the red zone are the most by a Raider since 2000. He now has 100 catches for the 2021 season.

Not only that, Carr has completed over 80 percent of his passes this season to Renfrow, making them the third quarterback-wide receiver tandem to do that in the last 15 seasons, joining Drew Brees to Michael Thomas (twice) and Tom Brady to Wes Welker (2007).

Truly, he’s one of the most underrated players in the league. He combines a rare blend of route running, hands, and an incredibly high football IQ.

Renfrow and his high football IQ

Football fans got a dose of his high football IQ in the last Raiders-Chargers matchup, when Renfrow absolutely blasted the gunner on a fake punt, forcing the incompletion.

It was remarkably quick recognition by the former Clemson star and a great tackle. Check it out.

He’s just an incredible all-around football player and an incredible story.

A Clemson Football legend

A former walk-on for the Clemson Tigers, Renfrow finished his career there ranked fifth in career receptions (186) and 11th in career receiving yards (2,133). In the 2017 national championship game against Alabama, he had the catch that truly cemented himself in Tigers’ fans hearts forever.

He pulled in a two-yard touchdown catch that gave Clemson the 35-31 win over Alabama with one second left in the game. The touchdown catch delivered the Tigers their first national crown since 1981.
