After being teased with a big man touchdown in Thursday night’s Miami Baltimore game, on Nov 11, the New York Giants and Andrew Thomas treated fans to one on Monday night. The Giants made good on Adoree Jackson’s interception of Tom Bradys tipped pass. On a second and goal from the two-and-a-half-yard line, New York tied the game with this touchdown pass.

On the play, Thomas lines up as an extra tackle on the left side of the play. After chipping his man, he quickly turns upfield into the end zone, where he was wide open. The big man makes a leaping catch to secure the touchdown pass from quarterback Daniel Jones to tie the game at 10.

The Giants are going blow for blow with the defending Super Bowl champs, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But after New York tied the game at 10 apiece, the Buccaneers have marched down the field to score a touchdown and now lead 17- 10.

That touchdown opportunity is arguably the best welcome back gift Thomas could have asked for. Thomas is making his way back from multiple injuries that have kept him out a four of the last five games. The Giants’ tackle has missed the last three games after being placed on Injured Reserve to heal from his ailments. So far this season, Thomas has yet to allow a sack on 201 pass-blocking snaps in the five games he’s played in. Before his injury, the second-year tackle was one of the highest-rated offensive tackles, from his class, according to Pro Football Focus.

Thomas is not the only sight for sore eyes back on the field for the New York Giants. Star running back Saquon Barkley made his return on Monday night as well. Like Thomas, Barkley has been dealing with an ankle injury that forced him to miss the last four games for the Giants.
