2028 ATH De'Quane Roscoe Jr. Has Been Watching Film on Kentucky Since His Recent Offer

2028 athlete De’Quane Roscoe Jr. was at his school on May 21 when Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow greeted him. Marrow was there to extend an offer.
This was the first offer for Roscoe, a 6-foot, 198-pound wide receiver and safety from Central Catholic (Toledo, OH). He told KSR+ that Marrow had high praise for his game.
“I was just happy, telling my family about it,” Roscoe said. “He was just telling me that I’m a good size for a freshman and that he was going to offer me. He told me I have to keep my grades up.”
Roscoe is very familiar with Kentucky’s system. He was just checking out some of their games from this past season.
“I watched a couple of game films on them the other day,” Roscoe said. “I’ve been watching football ever since I was little, and I’ve watched Kentucky a few times. They have a good program going. They’re D1 and they’re in the SEC. It’s a nice program.”
Roscoe said Kentucky is “someplace I’d like to be.” He’s hoping to visit soon.
Early Schools Getting Involved
It’s still very early in De’Quane Roscoe Jr.’s recruitment, but schools are already starting to get involved. He’s in discussions with Kentucky, Cincinnati, and Toledo.
“The Cincinnati coach told me he wants to take me on a visit,” Roscoe said. [I’m looking for] a good education, a good football team, and somewhere I can just be myself.”
Roscoe is not currently ranked by On3. He believes he would fit better at the safety position at the college level.
“[My greatest strengths are] hitting, tackling, catching the ball, breaking up passes, and just being an athlete,” he said. “[I want to improve] my footwork with my backpedaling, and stuff like that.
