Kentucky will host Martels Carter for March unofficial visit

Martels Carter might be the top defensive target on Kentucky’s 2025 recruiting board. The Paducah (Ky.) Tilghman junior is the No. 1 player in the state and a top-200 prospect in the class. Head coach Mark Stoops visited the blue-chip recruit in January, and Carter made it to Lexington in February for junior day.

Kentucky will get another unofficial visit from the four-star prospect during spring practice.

Rivals’ Sean Williams reports that Carter will have a busy month making multiple unofficial visits. The safety recruit will make stops at LSU (March 9), Oregon (March 14), Auburn (March 21), and Kentucky (March 23) over the next two-plus weeks.

Kentucky’s spring practice is set to begin on March 19 and operate on three days per week schedule. Martels Carter will be in attendance for practice No. 3 as Vince Marrow attempts to close on a premium target.

Will a commitment follow?

Multiple RPM picks have rolled in for Kentucky in the recruitment of Martels Carter. Kentucky could be close to wrapping up a siginificant in-state recruiting win. Carter recently told On3’s Phillips Dukes that Kentucky, Oregon, and Clemson were his top three schools. The first two will get visits during spring practice.
