Auburn starts his hopeful journey in the NCAA Tournament on Friday, as the 4-seed Tigers (27-7) face 13-seed Yale (22-9) from the Ivy League. The Tigers and Bulldogs are both conference tournament champions. They will tipoff at 3:15 pm CT on Friday afternoon at the Spokane Arena in Spokane, Wash. The winner gets either 5-seed San Diego State (24-10) or 12-seed UAB (23-11). This will be the second all-time meeting between Auburn and Yale. In their first and only meeting, the Tigers prevailed with an 86-64 victory over the Bulldogs on Dec. 4, 2021, at Neville Arena. In that game, the Tigers made 12 three-pointers and blocked 14 shots in the victory, which is tied for the most in Coach Pearl’s 10 seasons on The Plains.
