Auburn basketball is still in the process of finalizing its roster for the 2023-24 season with a trio of scholarship spots still available. The Tigers have pulled in a pair of transfers in Florida International guard Denver Jones and Alabama-Huntsville forward Chaney Johnson. Auburn hopes to add at least one more transfer to that group in Vanderbilt transfer Tyrin Lawrence, as Lawrence prepares to compete in the G League Combine on May 13-14. There's also interest in 2023 power forward Mitchell Holmes, who landed an Auburn offer recently and is planning a visit. Auburn is sitting on 10 scholarship players. Another addition or two could push that number to 11 or 12, with former walk-on Lior Berman potentially landing a scholarship, if the numbers permit. Auburn is facing a bit of a roster overhaul, which has plenty of pros and cons as it works to get itself back into SEC title contention after finishing 7th in the league standings last season. Gone are Wendell Green Jr., Allen Flanigan, Yohan Traore, Chance Westry, and Stretch Akingbola. Green Jr. is testing the NBA waters, while Flanigan, Traore, Westry and Akingbola all entered the transfer portal. Traore recently committed to UC Santa Barbara, while Westry committed to Syracuse. Flanigan is a graduate transfer and the expectation is that Flanigan will follow his father, Wes, to Ole Miss. Akingbola is also a graduate transfer, but no announcement has been made about his next destination. Looking inward, here are three players that stick out that could benefit the most from the reset button hit this offseason by head coach Bruce Pearl.
