What does Colton Hood’s departure mean?

Hood was one of several young defensive backs on the roster who sources say showed big promise in the spring. Being a legacy at Auburn, his commitment flip from Michigan State made sense when he got the call from the Tigers. Hood was looking to be a rotational piece at corner and possibly was the third corner behind perceived starters Keionte Scott and Kayin Lee. Therefore, Auburn will be looking to fill this position with someone currently on roster or from the portal. Hood was expected to be a rotational contributor.

Impact of Hood’s departure: Medium
