Auburn football roster reset: Linebackers

AUBURN -- Some new names and some key returners highlight the linebacker room for Auburn entering spring camp, and they'll have a new position coach to boot. New defensive coordinator DJ Durkin will also coach the linebackers. The position was coached by Josh Aldridge last season, but Aldridge will coach the defensive edges in 2024. The room will feature eight scholarship players entering spring ball. Of Auburn's 754 total tackles last season, only 132 were by returning linebackers. The good news should be that with Durkin coordinating the defense and coaching the linebackers, there shouldn't be a position group more in tune with the needs of the defense than the linebackers.
