AUBURN -- Auburn's deepest and seemingly most reliable position group is poised for another productive season in 2024. The Tigers return five scholarship tight ends under the tutelage of Ben Aigamaua, led by Rivaldo Fairweather, who returns after his record-breaking season in 2023. Fairweather's 38 receptions is an Auburn single-season record for tight ends, and his six touchdowns last season fell one touchdown shy of tying Philip Lutzenkirchen's single-season record for tight ends. Fairweather led all Auburn pass catchers in receptions, yards and touchdowns last season. The Tigers return four more scholarship tight ends, including two seniors, a redshirt sophomore and a true sophomore transfer from Maryland. What’s the state of things heading into the spring as it pertains to scholarship tight ends? Let’s take a quick look.
