Two Clemson baseball starters enter transfer portal

It was to be expected that there would be some Clemson baseball players leaving the program after Monte Lee was fired on Tuesday.

The first dominoes have started to fall as Dylan Brewer and Jonathan French entered the transfer portal on Wednesday, according to a source.

Brewer appeared in 46 games in 2022, with 39 starts. He hit .208 with eight doubles, four home runs and 24 RBIs.

The redshirt sophomore entered 2022 as the No. 255 overall prospect and No. 135 college prospect for the 2022 MLB draft, according to Perfect Game.

French appeared in 44 games this season, making 37 starts. The catcher hit .217 with five doubles, eight home runs and 22 RBIs.

French, who is also a redshirt sophomore, hit .248 in 2021, with five homers and 21 RBIs.
