Clemson has landed a commitment from one of the top point guards in the transfer portal.

Princeton transfer Jaelin Llewellyn has committed to Clemson, he announced Tuesday evening.

Llewellyn chose the Tigers over interest from Alabama, Arkansas, Miami, Florida, Tennessee and Villanova.

He visited Clemson over the weekend and needed only a couple of days to decide to commit to the Tigers.

Llewellyn averaged 15.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 2021-22. He should immediately move into a starting guard spot at Clemson next season.

Clemson lost two of its starting guards to the transfer portal this offseason in Nick Honor and Al-Amir Dawes. But landing Llewellyn should make up for those losses.

Llewellyn is a complete point guard who can score at all three levels and also does a nice job of getting his teammates involved.

On3’s Jamie Shaw ranks Llewellyn as one of the top five point guards available on the transfer market.

Llewellyn, PJ Hall and Hunter Tyson give Clemson three very good players to build around.
