Clemson basketball nonconference schedule announced

Clemson basketball’s nonconference schedule for the 2022-23 season has been released.

The Tigers’ first game will be an exhibition against Benedict on Nov. 2 at Littlejohn Coliseum.

Clemson will open the regular season against The Citadel on Nov. 7 at home.

The rivalry matchup against South Carolina will take place Nov. 11. That game will be played Friday night in Columbia, the night before the Tigers host Louisville in football.

Clemson will also face in-state opponent USC Upstate on Nov. 15 at Littlejohn.

Other nonconference opponents the Tigers will face include Iowa and TCU or Cal in Destin, Florida, Penn State at home, Loyola Chicago in Atlanta and Richmond in Greenville.

Season ticket renewals will be on sale in the coming weeks.

Clemson returns seven scholarship players from last year’s team, in addition to one transfer and four freshmen.
