CLEMSON — With the NCAA Tournament comes a fresh start.

Clemson isn’t happy with how it played in its last game, upset in the second round of the ACC Tournament by Miami. But now the Tigers are in the Big Dance, and if they can tap back into their strong start to the season, they could make some real noise.

The first step to making a run comes on Friday night at 9:20 p.m. on TBS. Clemson (16-7) is the No. 7 seed in the Midwest Region and will play No. 10 seed Rutgers (15-11) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis in the Round of 64.

Clemson’s last NCAA Tournament appearance came in 2018, when the Tigers went on a run to the Sweet 16. This season’s trip to the Big Dance marks the 13th time in program history.

“We don’t just wanna go to the tournament. We wanna win the tournament,” Clemson senior Clyde Trapp said.
