Clemson wide receiver Justyn Ross was excited to finally get back on the football field for the 2021 season after a lengthy wait. Friday night against Syracuse, he suffered an injury and had to go inside the medical tent with trainers.

Check out the play below as Ross lands awkwardly on his leg.

The injury does not appear to be serious for the Clemson wideout

Ross has re-entered the game, so fortunately the injury does not appear to be serious. It appeared as if he tweaked his ankle.

Clemson has already been devastated with a number of injuries to key players like running back Will Shipley and a season-ending injury to defensive lineman Bryan Bresee. Shipley is expected to return at some point in the season, but Bresee’s year is finished after he tore his ACL against NC State. The freakish defensive lineman also suffered a shoulder injury earlier in the season against Georgia, but re-entered the game.

Clemson has a number of other players out against Syracuse game: safety Joseph Charleston, corner Fred Davis, tight end Braden Galloway, offensive lineman Hunter Rayburn, and wide receiver EJ Williams.

As for Bresee, the 6-foot-5, 300-pound defensive tackle finished his freshman year with 33 tackles (6.5 tackles for loss), four sacks, two pass breakups, a forced fumble and a safety. He earned ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year and was a first-team All-ACC selection.

Bryan Bresee high school career

One of the most talented defensive prospects ever to come out of the state of Maryland, the 6-5 defensive lineman has one of the most impressive highlight tapes for a defensive line prospect.

He suited up for Damascus High School and he dominated every step of the way. The former five-star prospect racked up 134 career tackles, including 80.5 tackles for loss, with 35 sacks in his high school career.

His senior year, he tallied 30.5 tackles for loss and 14 sacks. The freakish defensive lineman was selected to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors in Maryland as a junior.

Bresee chose Clemson over offers from Alabama, Auburn and many others.
