Burney says goodbye to Gator Nation

Burney was out of college eligibility but took time to thank those who have helped him during his college career.

“First off, I want to thank God for everything he does for me. I give him ALL the glory! The biggest thank you goes out to Coach Napier for coming in and believing in me. I also want to thank Coach Toney for putting me in the position to make plays this season. To Coach Bateman and Coach Chaney, it was truly a blessing sharing the war room with you. To all my other coaches and staff, far too many to name, I am immensely grateful for all the knowledge you have graced me with,” Burney wrote on Twitter.”

“I owe this season not only to those listed, but to my teammates and brothers as well. I also want to thank my parents for their constant support and the fact that they never missed a game, home or away, during each of my collegiate seasons. My time at UF has provided me with great knowledge, both on and off the field. I want to thank you, Gator Nation! It was a privilege to wear the Orange & Blue and I will never forget what 90k in the Swamp sounds like. My time at UF has come to an end, but I will be a Gator forever. With that being said, I am officially declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft.”
