Five Florida Gators named to Stillwater All-Regional team
Sophomore outfielder Ashton Wilson led the way for the Florida Gators on the Stillwater Regional All-Tournament team. In total, five Gators were named to the team, as voted on by credentialed media. Closer Brandon Neely, first baseman Jac Caglianone, third baseman Dale Thomas, and shortstop Colby Shelton
Wilson is one of those stories you need if you are going to make a run in the NCAA Tournament. A transfer from Charleston Southern, Wilson didn’t get much playing time during the regular season. Injuries to junior outfielder Ty Evans and freshman outfielder Hayden Yost. Wilson has more than answered the call for the Gators and has played a pivotal role since being put into the lineup.

Neely became the talk of the tournament with a gutsy performance on Sunday night. Facing elimination, Neely was called on out of the bullpen with the Gators trailing and runners on base. Neely would go on to throw a season-high 101 pitches over 5.2 scoreless innings while striking out 11 to lead Florida to a win.
Caglianone went 5-15 including a home run in Stillwater. Shelton was 6-19 with a go-ahead three-run home run on Sunday night that proved to be the difference for Florida. Dale Thomas was 5-19 in the Regional.
