Gators in the NFL: Super Wild Card Weekend

The Florida Gators were featured in each of the six NFL Wild Card weekend games.

Some teams’ seasons came to an end throughout the weekend, but a number of former Gators made big plays for their professional teams with the season on the line.

Here’s how the former Gators in the NFL performed throughout the Super Wild Card Weekend.

Baltimore Ravens

Demarcus Robinson caught two passes for 49 yards and a touchdown in Baltimore’s 24-17 loss against Cincinnati as the Ravens’ season came to an end.

David Sharpe and Jeremiah Moon recorded no stats in the season-ending loss.

Buffalo Bills

Kaiir Elam came up big for the Bills in their 34-31 win over the Dolphins. He recorded two total tackles, an interception and a pass breakup.

Elam left the game with leg cramps and was unable to finish the game. He’s listed as questionable at this time, but he should be able to play against Cincinnati in the divisional round on Sunday.

Cincinnati Bengals

Evan McPherson made his lone field goal attempt from 39 yards out and made one of his two extra point attempts in Cincinnati’s 24-17 win over Baltimore.

Zach Carter had four total tackles including a run stuff in the win.

McPherson, Carter and the Bengals will head to Buffalo for their divisional round matchup with the Bills.

Dallas Cowboys

Dante Fowler Jr. had just one total tackle in Dallas’ dominant 31-14 win on the road against Tampa Bay.

Malik Davis and Antonio Callaway did not play in the win.

The Cowboys will travel to San Francisco to face the 49ers on Monday night in the divisional round.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Jawaan Taylor made his 18th start of the season in the Jaguars’ 31-30 win over the Chargers. Jacksonville’s 27-point comeback was the fifth-largest comeback in NFL history.

Taylor and the Jaguars will head to Kansas City for their matchup with the AFC’s No. 1 seed in the Chiefs on Saturday.

Kansas City Chiefs

Carlos Dunlap, Kadarius Toney, Tommy Townsend and the Chiefs enjoyed a bye during the wild card weekend after earning the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The Chiefs will host the Jaguars on Saturday in the divisional round.

Miami Dolphins

La’Mical Perine did not play in the Dolphins’ season-ending 34-31 loss against the Bills.

Minnesota Vikings

Jonathan Bullard’s lone tackle was a sack on Saturday afternoon in Minnesota’s 31-24 season-ending loss to the New York Giants.

New York Giants

Jarrad Davis racked up two total tackles in the Giants’ 31-24 win over the Vikings. Davis and the Giants will go to Philadelphia to take on the top seeded Eagles in the divisional round next Sunday.

Philadelphia Eagles

CJ Gardner-Johnson, Fred Johnson and the Eagles enjoyed a bye week after earning the NFC’s top seed. They’ll host the Giants in the divisional round on Saturday night.

Seattle Seahawks

Teez Tabor and Stone Forsythe recorded no stats in Seattle’s season-ending 41-23 loss against San Francisco.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Keanu Neal was ruled out ahead of Tampa Bay’s divisional matchup with Dallas with a hip injury he sustained in the regular season finale. Kyle Trask was also inactive in the Buccaneers’ season-ending 31-14 loss to the Cowboys.
