Florida Gators sophomore outfielder Wyatt Langford was named a Second Team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings on Friday. It is the third All-American honor that Langford has received this year.

Earlier this week Langford received All-America honors from Perfect Game and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

Langford is the 99th All-American in Gators baseball history. He is also the 25th different player to earn All-America recognition under Kevin O’Sullivan.

Langford had one of the best seasons any Florida Gator has had on the diamond. The sophomore tied the school record set by Matt LaPorta in 2005 with 26 home runs. Langford slashed .355/.447/.719. He led the Gators in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, hits (91), runs (73), RBI (63) triples (three), and total bases (184) while starting all 66 games in left field. As of this week, Langford ranks fourth in the nation in total bases (184), tied for sixth in home runs, tied for 14th in runs scored, tied for 17th in slugging, and is tied for 21st in hits.

The Trenton, Fla. native was named to the All-SEC Second Team in May and received a First Team nod from USA Today.

Langford accepted an invitation to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. Training Camp will feature 48-50 of the premier non-draft eligible college players for a five-game Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad series in North Carolina from June 30 to July 4. USA Baseball will name a final, 26-man Collegiate National Team roster after Training Camp that will represent the United States at Honkbalweek Haarlem in the Netherlands from July 9 to 15.
