Owings Mills (Md.) four-star linebacker Nick Abrams has cut things in his recruitment a little more and Georgia remains a key player.

The No. 165 overall prospect in the 2026 On3 Rankings cut his list of contenders down to four schools, Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Oregon, he tells On3’s Chad Simmons. Abrams cut to a top five last month.

Abrams set his official to Georgia for May 16. He will take three other official visits, Michigan is up next on June 6. Alabama will host Abrams on June 13 and he will head to Oregon on June 20. Abrams is working toward a commitment on July 16, which is his birthday.

Recent visit left a mark on Nick Abrams

Georgia has been a major player in his recruitment since the beginning of the year. Georgia has hosted Abrams a few times this year. The latest was last month for spring practice.

Abrams had the chance to stay for the entire weekend, meet with Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann.

The Bulldogs’ culture left a mark on Abrams.

“The environment was great,” Abrams told DawgsHQ in March. “From the moment I stepped in the indoor, I could hear the music blasting in the meeting rooms and it didn’t change once the players got on the field. It was high intensity, especially because it was the first day in pads. This was my first SEC practice so it was good to see the level of physicality being played…The team had high energy the whole day and hearing them during the competition period was great. I love that competitive atmosphere and I definitely thrive in it.”

Michigan and Oregon have come on strong as of late. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine currently favors Penn State, which did not make his final four.

Georgia LB Board becoming clearer

Georgia is in the hunt for Abrams. The Bulldogs are also in a big battle for five-star Tyler Atkinson. Marietta (Ga.) Kell four-star Brayden Rouse recently cut his list to four schools and Georgia did not make the cut.

Georgia has surged with legacy Kedric Golston II. The Bulldogs are also in the hunt for Kenneth Goodwin. Georgia recently offered Florida State commit Karon Maycock as well.
