Much was made of Georgia landing a preferred walk-on commitment from 2024 wide receiver Jeremy Bell on Wednesday, but another move on that front flew a bit more under the radar, as Carrollton tight end Jordan White also announced his plans to join the Bulldogs with a PWO spot.

At almost 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, White signed his financial aid paperwork with the Dawgs on Wednesday as part of the Trojans’ Signing Day activities.

White chose the opportunity to walk-on with the Bulldogs over scholarship offers from Kent State, Columbia, and Tennessee-Chattanooga among others.

Per MaxPreps, White posted 363 yards receiving on 19 receptions in his senior year averaging 19.1 yard per reception. He also posted nine touchdowns for the Trojans in his senior campaign. Over his career with Carrollton, White accounted for nineteen total touchdowns and 863 yards.

Between spending time playing football, baseball, lacrosse, and track, White brings athleticism to Todd Hartley’s room at the next level.

Carrollton head coach Joey King was clear about that, as well.

“When you watch his tape, you can see that he is the total package at tight end. He’s probably the most improved player over three years that I’ve ever coached,” King said. “He has good speed, is physical, and is surprisingly athletic. Last year was his first year ever throwing the discus in track, and he goes out there and wins the 7A State Championship…the kid is a winner.”

White was ranked a three-star tight end by 247 Sports.

Jordan White joins a loaded tight end room in Athens which also saw the addition of Stanford transfer Benjamin Yurosek on Friday.

More on new Georgia transfer tight end

Yurosek becomes Georgia seventh prospect from the transfer portal in the Class of 2024. At Stanford, the was 6-foot-4, 242-pound Bakersfield, Calif. native’s best career outing came against Hawaii in 2023 as he caught nine passes for 138 yards and a score in the season-opener. It was the second 100-yard day for him in his career after going for 118 yards on six catches against Arizona State in 2021. Yurosek followed that up with back-to-back 90+ yard days as a part of what was his best season, totaling 42 catches, 653 yards and three touchdowns in 2021. He also had an impressive day in a win over the Sun Devils in 2022 with 10 grabs.

Yurosek, the son of a pair of former Colorado State athletes (father, Derek, played football and mother, Kellie, played volleyball), will finish his degree in Science, Tech. and Society at Stanford this spring and join the team in Athens for summer workouts.
