It’s fair to stay that the Iowa basketball chipped away for a win over Minnesota on Sunday afternoon. That was both literally and figuratively as the Hawkeyes rallied from down twenty in the second half for a 90-85 win over the Golden Gophers. It was also Owen Freeman who chipped a tooth on a breakaway slam dunk to end the first half on his way to a 17 point and 14 rebound performance.

Following the game, Freeman and teammate Payton Sandfort, who scored 21 points, talked about the rally from 20 down and how they stuck together to rally for the victory over Minnesota. That included a significant contribution from Patrick McCaffery off the bench and they discuss his work in the second half. They also talk about how this win could provide a springboard for the Hawkeyes down the stretch of the Big Ten season.
