When Brooks was on, his jump shot was pretty, and he could knock it down from any spot on the floor. And while being a spot-up shooter alone may be adequate at some programs, Michigan State requires players committed to growing all facets of their game. Brooks never became the multi-dimensional player Tom Izzo hoped he'd be coming out of high school. But the Spartans needed more than they got from Brooks.
