Michigan men’s basketball updated its roster for the 2023-24 roster on Friday afternoon with a handful of new faces and updated heights and weights. Chief among them is the official additions of transfers Nimari Burnett, Tray Jackson and Olivier Nkamhoua.

A Michigan spokesman says that new additions are still possible.

The most notable weight gain comes in the form of sophomore forward Youssef Khayat, who measures in at 6-foot-9 but is up to 215 pounds after playing at 195 during his freshman campaign. He spent some time in his home country of Lebanon this offseason, but the Michigan strength and conditioning staff has been working hard with him.

Sophomore point guard Dug McDaniel is still listed at 5-foot-11, but up to 175 pounds after playing around 160 last season. Classmate and big man Tarris Reed still checks in at 6-foot-10, but up to 265 pounds (260 in 2022-23).

Redshirt sophomore forward Will Tschetter (6-8) is up to 245 pounds, up from 240 last year. Senior forward Terrance Williams (6-8) is down to 225 pounds after playing at 230 during his junior campaign in Ann Arbor.

Michigan has a pair of scholarships remaining after adding the three transfers and a true freshman in 2024 in three-star combo guard George Washington III. The Wolverines might not yet be done adding to the roster, either. The roster could use another guard and a true backup center to soon-to-be sophomore Tarris Reed.

The Wolverines went 18-16 last season, missing the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015 and splitting the games they played in the NIT with a win over Toledo and a loss at Vanderbilt. The goal is to get back to the tournament in 2023-24 and get some momentum back for head coach Juwan Howard.
