HOUSTON, Texas — Michigan Wolverines football has revealed its uniform combination for its first-ever appearance in the national championship game. Monday night at NRG Stadium, the top-ranked Wolverines will take on No. 2 Washington wearing blue jerseys with blue pants.

Michigan sported blue jerseys with maize pants in a 27-20 overtime Rose Bowl victory over Alabama. The Wolverines have worn blue jerseys eight times this season, donning blue pants in four of them and maize in the other four.

The other games that the undefeated, 14-0 Wolverines wore blue on bottom were wins over Bowling Green, Indiana, Purdue and Ohio State.

The Wolverines will go with blue gloves, arm sleeves and socks.

This will be the 18th time in Michigan history that the Wolverines sport blue pants, including the 10th occurrence at home. They’re 16-1 overall and 9-0 at home with the look. The lone loss with blue pants came at a neutral site, a loss to Georgia in the 2021 College Football Playoff semifinal at the Orange Bowl.
