Michigan Wolverines football will have a new-look offensive line in 2024. Senior right guard Zak Zinter has declared for the NFL Draft, and graduates Trevor Keegan and Drake Nugent, the team’s starting left guard and center, respectively, are expected to follow suit. Graduate left tackle LaDarius Henderson is believed to be out of eligibility but made his intentions of entering the draft known with a statement Friday.

Henderson spent four seasons at Arizona State and his final year at Michigan, a key piece in the Wolverines finishing 15-0 and national champions.

Henderson earned his degree in interdisciplinary studies (communications and organizational leadership) from Arizona State, where he played in 33 games with 29 starts. This year at Michigan, he was pursuing a Master’s degree from the U-M School of Social Work.

Henderson came off the bench in the Wolverines’ first four games, before taking hold of the starting left tackle job in the final 11 contests.

“Michigan nation, it has been an absolute honor and privilege to put on the winged helmet with my brothers, even for just one year,” Henderson wrote. “It was an unforgettable and legendary year for team 144, and the job was finished!

“I’d like to thank [Michigan head] Coach [Jim] Harbaugh and [offensive coordinator and offensive line] Coach [Sherrone] Moore for giving me the opportunity to finish my college career as a Michigan Man and be a part of what we were able to accomplish here this past year.

“I’d also like to thank my family for the never-ending support throughout my entire career. Without them, none of this is possible!

“Lastly, I’d like to thank THE BEST fan base in the entire world! To the people who support the good guys in Blue, y’all have made my experience here truly unforgettable!

“With that being said, I’d like to announce that I AM DECLARING FOR THE 2024 NFL DRAFT! I’m blessed and thrilled to be starting this new chapter of my life! Thank you to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me the drive and ability to even be in this position, overly blessed and definitely grateful.

“Thank you Lord and GO BLUE!!”
