Keegan has been around Michigan for three Ohio State games, currently standing with a 2-1 record, and noted how important the rivalry is to him personally and the program as a whole.

“This game will always feel different,” Keegan said. “I grew up in this rivalry, and it’s always had a special place in my heart, because my mom is from Livonia, 20 miles away, a lot of my family is from Ohio. So, for me personally, it’s always the biggest game of the year for me. I know all of the guys on the team feel that way, as well. This is the game that we work for every day. You see it all around the building, ‘What are you doing today to beat Ohio State?’ Now that it’s here, it’s come to fruition, all of our work is going to play off and it’s going to show.”

Keegan said he’s thought about the stakes for both Michigan and Ohio State

“We think about that every day,” Keegan said. “This is a game that we prepare for. If we don’t win this game, the season doesn’t matter. All of our goals are right there in front of us. We want to win the national championship, we want to win the Big Ten championship. And we gotta beat the team down south in order to do that.”

Jenkins was asked about Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson and what kind of challenge he poses for the Michigan defense.

“Well, obviously, he’s a dynamic playmaker, a dynamic player, great back,” Jenkins said. “He’s able to make big plays in big moments. He’s definitely … he’s definitely a guy we’re looking forward to playing.”

Jenkins was asked if he and the Michigan defensive line change the way they play against a back that’s so fast and can take it all the way if he gets through the line of scrimmage.

“Not too much, Jenkins replied. “Just focusing on our techniques, our abilities. And we got KG [sophomore defensive tackle Kenneth Grant], so can track people. So just focusing on p’s and q’s and go from there.”
