Michigan Wolverines football freshman quarterback Jadyn Davis has inked his first NIL deal since arriving in Ann Arbor, announced Thursday by Brighton Ford on social media. His deal will include autograph signings, event appearances and more with the local dealership.

“We have exciting news to share! We’re proud to announce our new partner: Jadyn Davis – U of M’s Quarterback! Stay tuned for future events, promotions, opportunities to win autographed items and content from Jadyn,” the announcement read on Brighton Ford’s Instagram account.

Terms of the deal are undisclosed.

Davis – a four-star prospect and the No. 105 player in the country, per On3’s Industry Ranking – enrolled early at Michigan in time for spring ball and also participated in the team’s College Football Playoff practices ahead of the Rose Bowl win over Alabama and national title win over Washington on Jan. 1 and Jan. 8, respectively.

Michigan is currently working through a five-man quarterback battle in spring camp, which Davis is a part of. He joins graduate Jack Tuttle, senior Davis Warren and juniors Alex Orji and Jayden Denegal in competing for the job.

“Jadyn Davis, the young freshman, very excited about him,” Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore said last month. “He’s picked things up super fast. But you never know with freshmen, so you’ll see. But he has all the ability, so I’m excited for him. He’s kind of a mix of all of them — he can do a little bit of everything — so super excited for him, too.”

Davis was singled out as one of the most production quarterbacks in the country coming out of the 2024 class with On3’s Charles Power giving him the “Stat Stuffer” superlative.

“The Michigan signee transferred to Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day alongside a number of fellow blue-chip and Power Five prospects for his final two seasons of high school football and put up some gaudy stats through the air,” Power said. “Davis showed the ability to get the ball to playmakers in an efficient manner over the past two seasons. As a junior, he completed 72.5% of his passes for 3,425 yards and 43 touchdowns against six interceptions. The senior production was eerily similar, with Davis hitting 70.8% of his passes for 3,370 yards and 43 touchdowns against nine picks.”

On3 compares Davis’ skillset to former Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson, who spent time in Ann Arbor from 2018-19.

“Jadyn Davis’ skill set reminds us of former Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson. Both were around similar size and had some similarities in play style. They were also both touted prospects from an early age.”
