Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh sat out his third straight game due to suspension this year in a 30-24 win over Ohio State. That makes six total, half the regular season, over a rule the NCAA acknowledged two years ago provided “no competitive advantage.” The Wolverines have proven they didn’t need signs or anything else besides tough, hard-nosed football to beat the best teams on their schedule, pound their hapless rival down the road, and win with an interim coach in Sherrone Moore who did a fantastic job as a “guardian of victory.”
