Last season NC State had one of the best, most prolific passing attacks in the nation, coming just outside the Top 25, led by quarterback Devin Leary. Yet the rushing offense flagged significantly behind the passing game, amassing only 1,500 yards, good for 126 yards per game. The result? A good offense, but one that fell in the middle of the ACC in most team offensive categories, including points per game and total yards. So how can NC State take a step in 2022? It's a complicated answer because football is a complicated sport. So, we'll outline the primary factors and try to find a solution.
