NC State will open ACC Play tonight at Virginia after the Wolfpack found the win column against VMU last weekend. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on ESPN. Last week, TheWolfpacker.com went 2-for-5 on bold predictions, but we came close to two more. NC State finished with a 3rd-down conversion rate higher than 50% (10-14) and the Pack didn’t commit a turnover — both of which were predicted. We thought Davin Vann would record two or more sacks or tackles for a loss. He didn’t record a tackle, but created three quarterback hurries against the Keydets. The Pack rushed for 234 total yards, just under the prediction of 250, and neither freshman wideout Kevin Concepcion or Juice Vereen scored their first-career touchdown. Before the Cavaliers and Wolfpack meet for the first time since 2020, here are five bold predictions ahead of the matchup. We’ll take a look at them next week to see if they came to fruition or not.
