NC State gets Carter back for '22, where he can improve

On Friday, NC State football got good news when redshirt sophomore wide receiver Devin Carter announced that he’d be returning to Raleigh for the 2022 football season. With senior Emeka Emezie graduating this fall, Carter should step into the lead receiver role for quarterback Devin Leary and the NC State Wolfpack offense. But it was an up-and-down year for the Clayton, NC native. To fill Emezie’s role, Carter will need to progress in some critical areas before the 2022 season. Here is what he needs to work on to take his game to the next level.
