NC State plays Syracuse in ACC tournament second round: 3 thoughts, a bold prediction and more

WASHINGTON — Survive and advance. That’s what 10-seed NC State men’s basketball did against 15-seed Louisville to open the ACC tournament, but now it faces a stiffer test with 7-seed Syracuse in the second round on Wednesday night.  The Wolfpack dropped both of its regular season meetings with the Orange, including a 4-point defeat the last time out against Syracuse on Feb. 20 at PNC Arena. That kicked off the Pack’s skid to close the season with seven losses across the final nine regular season games.  Here are three thoughts, a bold prediction and more ahead of the Orange and Wolfpack’s Wednesday postseason contest.
