The Wolfpacker Recruiting Show: NC State QB commit Will Wilson and Spike Sowells join the show
NC State kicks off a critical official visit weekend in the early afternoon Friday. A total of 10 prospects, including a couple of four-star recruits, will spend June 21-23 in Raleigh before the NCAA’s July dead period kicks in next week.
The Wolfpack purposefully stacked its visit schedule so many of the program’s top targets would end their summer visit schedules at NC State. Quarterback commit Will Wilson and tight end commit Gus Ritchey will both be on campus to help recruit eight top priority prospects.
This is an absolutely massive visit weekend for NC State. Before the 10 prospects arrive on campus, The Wolfpacker Recruiting Show recorded another episode with a couple of special guests. Wilson, the Pack’s future signal-caller, and three-star offensive lineman Isaac Sowells Jr. both joined host Ethan McDowell to preview the weekend.

*** Ethan explained why this is such a pivotal recruiting weekend for the Wolfpack. NC State has a good shot to secure a few new commitments by Sunday night.
*** Then, Wilson joined the show. NC State’s quarterback commit explained what he loves about the program and why he considers Raleigh “home.” He remains completely locked in with the program and spent some time explaining his bonds with quarterbacks coach Kurt Roper and head coach Dave Doeren.

*** Wilson also broke down his skill set as a quarterback. He put up huge numbers for Columbia (S.C) Richland Northeast High last year and shared how his skill set fits NC State’s offense. The quarterback is a very active recruiter, so he talked about who he is trying to convince to join the Pack. To wrap up his interview, he also shared his pitch for why they should commit to NC State.
*** After a quick break, Sowells joined the show. The top priority center from Louisville (KY) Male High talked about what he is looking forward to about this weekend’s visit. He has already taken officials to South Carolina, Miami and Kentucky and provided an update on his summer decision timeline.
*** Sowells is very close with offensive line coach Garett Tujague and explained why he is strongly considering the Wolfpack.
*** To wrap up the show, Ethan broke down the rest of the weekend’s visitors list and the intel around each of their recruitments.
