Penn State cornerback Kalen King forced an incompletion on 27% of the targets he saw last season, according to PFF. That was tied for 8th-best in the nation among corners with 200 coverages snaps. (Photo: Dan Althouse/BWI)

Penn State football is finalizing preparations for the 2023 season, with fall camp starting later this month. Before the season, we will examine each position on the offense and defense to see if that unit will be better or worse than last season.  The Penn State cornerback position was a rollercoaster ride this offseason. With Joey Porter Jr off to the NFL and veteran depth player Marquis Wilson leaving via the transfer portal, the team brought in veteran Storm Duck from North Carolina. That was a short-lived experiment, with Duck transferring out of the program to Louisville after the season. Today we'll conclude our defense with an examination of the cornerback position.
