The Penn State football team has had a developing trend over the last several seasons. They've been getting more from veteran players who break out at a later date than what typically happens in college football.  In the era of the transfer portal, it's rarer to find players who stick with a program for four-plus year and finally earn a role on the offense or defense. It's even rarer for that player to produce a standout season. Recently, players like Caedan Wallace and Dvon Ellies bucked that trend and were core players in Penn State's 2023 campaign.  So, who are the players that could have similar late-career breakouts? Let's look at the players who have the opportunity and potential to make a move. For the purposes of this article, "late-career" refers to players entering their fourth year or later.
