How Manny Diaz affects Penn State recruiting Let’s be clear from the start of this article; we’re basing this subject on theory. Diaz was a head coach for three seasons and could just as likely get a job opportunity next offseason and move on from Penn State. But. If he does stay in Happy Valley for an extended period, it will be fascinating to watch how, or if, Penn State’s defense develops. We’re basing this speculation on how Diaz’s defense evolved, which you can find here. Let’s extend that thought to recruiting and examine how Penn State’s Class of 2022 and 2023 fit into the picture and how things could change beyond that. Today we’ll focus on the incoming class and how they might change their roles slightly with Diaz at the helm.
