Penn State is one of 10 schools still in the mix with Picayune, Miss., native Jamonta Waller.

A four-star linebacker prospect, Waller also included Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas A&M among his top schools.

He also has four official visits set for June, beginning with Auburn on June 2. Waller will then return to Penn State, June 9, before checking out Florida (June 16) and Georgia (June 23).

He discussed each of his top schools with On3 earlier today.

Waller breaks down his top school

Alabama: “Whenever I talk to Coach [Coleman] Hutzler, he tells me that I have the potentialy and ability to be Alabama’s next great linebacker. He wants to make that happen and I like hearing that.”

Auburn: “Coach [Ron] Roberts calls me daily and I hear from his whole staff constantly whether its messages or phone calls. They tell me how of a need I am for their defense which is an amazing feeling.”

Florida: “I first met Coach [Austin] Armstrong when he was at Southern Miss and we’ve had a special relationship since. Going all the way back there, he’s been saying the same things about me and that’s a must for him to coach me.”

Georgia: “Coach [Glenn] Schumann says that he doesn’t just want to develop me on the field. We talk a lot and says he wants to also develop me off of the field. With both of us being back-to-back champions, I feel like we have the same qualities and ambition to win.”

LSU: “LSU has been my dream school since I was a little kid and I always used to dream of what it would be like to wear that Tiger uniform. I also have a great relationship with Coach [John] Jancek and he’s a great coach.”

Mississippi State: “I constantly talk with Coach [Matt] Brock and he always lets me know just how much he wants me there playing on his defense.”

Ole Miss: “When it comes to great coaches, Coach [Pete] Golding is as real and down to earth as it gets. Every time we talk with each other he lets me know just how much of a priority I am to him.”

Penn State: Micah Parsons is my favorite player and when I talk with Coach [Manny] Diaz, he lets me know that I could be that guy for Penn State. He believes in me and I have faith in him that he’d know how to use me on their defense.”

Tennessee: “Every time I talk to Coach [Brian] Jean-Mary, he always lets me know just how close Tennessee is of being the most elite team in the SEC. I feel like I could go there and be the difference maker they need to make that jump.”

Texas A&M: “Coach [Terry] Price is who coached Myles Garrett. The first conversation we had he told me that I had the potential to break their freshman sack record. Why not go there and do that?”
