There has been a good deal of conversation and, to a certain point, concern about what the new Penn State offense will look like this year. Some fans fear that head coach James Franklin takes too heavy of a hand in its development. While he doesn’t call plays, his fingerprints are all over the team’s struggles, especially in big games. Whether that’s fair or not, Franklin hasn’t been helping himself in disabusing fans of that notion despite adamantly rejecting that direct question last year when asked during the season.
