Former Penn State linebacker Bobby Walchak entered the NCAA transfer portal following the 2022 season and this year’s set of spring practices. Now, the Pottsville, Pa., defender has picked his next college football home. He announced on Monday that he is transferring to Campbell University.

Walchak spent two seasons in State College after earning all-state honors as a junior and senior at Pottsville. At the prep level, he made 52 tackels and also had four sacks and one interception as s senior. The defender did not see any game action in either of his two years with the Nittany Lions. Former PSU graduate assistant and assistant strength coach Steven Williams Fighting Camels associate head coach and special teams coordinator, so there is a connection there that Walchak likely took advantage of before picking the Big South conference program. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

“Being a part of Penn State football these last two seasons has been amazing. I would like to thank my teammates, coaches, and staff for the memories I will miss you all,” Walchak wrote on Twitter in April.
