Penn State football is set to host Michigan in November. According to The Action Network, a kick time has been locked in. The outlet’s Brett McMurphy reported Thursday night, citing sources, that the Lions will host the Wolverines at Beaver Stadium at Noon on Nov. 11. It would be FOX’s ‘BIG Noon Kickoff” in Week 11.

BWI’s Ryan Snyder reported on the possibility inside The Lions Den forum earlier this month. Sign up today to learn more insider news and notes about the Nittany Lions by clicking here.

The kick time was not immediately announced by either school or the network. Game times for the first three weeks of the season, plus marquee games later in the year, are expected to be announced May 31.

Michigan owns a 16-10 all-time lead over Penn State. The Wolverines have won the last two contests between the two sides. The Lions last won 27-17 in Ann Arbor during the 2020 season. Their last home win over head coach Jim Harbaugh’s side came in 2019, when the final score was 28-21.

Penn State has three confirmed kick times so far

Two Penn State kick times are already on the docket for the 2023 season. The Lions will open the season opposite West Virginia on Sept. 2 in State College at 7:30 p.m. It will be the debut of NBC’s “Big Ten Saturday Night” production now that the outlet is a conference media rights partner.

The Nittany Lions will hold their annual “White Out” against Iowa on Sept. 23 in what will be an 8 p.m. kick. The contest will air on CBS.

The other known kick time is the regular season finale. On Nov. 24, Penn State will play Michigan State at Ford Field in Detroit. That game will also be at 7:30 p.m. on NBC. It will be the Lions’ fourth Black Friday contest of all-time, according to The Daily Collegian. They are 2-2 in previous games on that day.

Lions’ Lift for Life time is set, too

It’s not just game times that are being reported on or announced this week. Penn State’s annual Lift for Life event, which raises money for the rare disease community, also now has a date and time. It will be held June 22 at 4 p.m. on the turf fields between the Lasch Building and Holuba Hall.

“It traces back to founder Scott Shirley who, following a kidney cancer diagnosis to his father, Don, joined with teammates to help raise money to help tackle the rare disease community,” BWI’s Nate Bauer writes. “In the time since, Uplifting Athletes chapters have formed throughout the college football landscape, now featuring more than two dozen groups nation wide.

“Though unspecified in the initial announcement, past iterations of Lift for Life have included a $10 per adult and $5 for kids recommended donation to spectators, with proceeds benefiting the rare disease community.”
