Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford shines in Rose Bowl: By the numbers

There were games with flashier stats and games that had more deep passes or big-play touchdowns. But Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford’s performance in the Rose Bowl was the best of his career. In one of the most high-visibility games of his career, Clifford powered the Nittany Lions to a 35-14 victory over Utah in Pasadena. We’ll get into the specifics of how he did that in the final Film Study of the year coming up later this week, but today we’re taking a moment to single out Clifford’s play and put his performance into context.
