Connor Pierce did and lost by major decision.

“I think it was a good opportunity for these guys to go score points and do the things they’re working on in practice,” Penn State coach Cael Sanderson said, per PennLive. “It was a good day for us. It’s a nice match going into the holiday…something to build on. We want to be our best every time we step out there.”

Quote of the day

“When you walk into the room, the ego’s gone. It’s like, we’re gonna pick each other’s brains and we’re just gonna get better. It’s not about beating the No. 1 guy or whatever, it’s about becoming the best wrestler you can be. The only way you can do that is if you can pick people’s brains and just keeping better and picking the coaches’ brains and people at my weight and under me… it’s the best place in the world to train.”
