Scouting Penn State's next opponent, the Michigan Wolverines: Defense

There are no more excuses about talent level, coaching, or quality of opponent. Penn State takes on the Michigan Wolverines Saturday in a battle of top-ten teams in the nation. The defense for the Wolverines has retooled after the loss of star pass rushers Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo. This season they’re relying on the efforts of defensive tackle Mazi Smith to control the interior of the line and edge rusher Mike Morris to provide pressure. But beyond that, it’s a stout defense that does several things very well. We’ll discuss how the defense operates and what fans should expect from that matchup on Saturday for Penn State.
