Penn State football has found itself in a pickle the last two seasons. Aside from star receiver Jahan Dotson in 2021, the team could not beat aggressive man coverage. Teams learned last year that they could lock up Penn State’s smaller-built receivers and close down the passing game long enough to get to the quarterback in critical situations.  Additionally, Hiring Marques Hagans means the Nittany Lions may be shifting what they’re looking for in receivers. Hagans has a track record of recruiting bigger body types for the position. So, instead of giving you a big board of all the receiver targets, here’s a breakdown of Penn State’s top targets by best positional fit. In addition, we’ll include a description for those that don’t know the standard definition of each receiver position.
