What jersey numbers will 3 new Penn State football players wear in 2024?
Penn State has officially added three more members of its Class of 2024 to its online roster. That means each newcomer now has his first jersey number in blue and white. The Nittany Lions announced back on Monday that offensive lineman Donovan Harbour, running back Corey Smith, and safety Dejuan Lane are all now enrolled and on campus. Harbour and Smith, who are both from Milwaukee, Wisc., Catholic Memorial, will suit up in No. 57 and 23, respectively. Lane, then, will wear No. 10.
Lane takes that number from now receiver Mehki Flowers, who switched to No. 80 when he changed sides of the ball this offseason. Harbour takes No. 57 from former Penn State offensive lineman Ibrahim Traore, who transferred out of the program earlier this year. And, Smith takes No. 23 from graduated running back Trey Potts. That trio joins a quarter of Class of 2024 arrivals who recently received jersey numbers, too, after enrolling in May.
Defensive end Mylachi Williams took No. 20. He follows in Adisa Isaac’s footsteps, as the defensive end also wore that number during his time in State College.
Linebacker Anthony Speca will sport No. 40. It seemingly signals an upcoming number change for walk-on safety Patrick Williams, who currently holds that assignment on the roster.
Offensive lineman Caleb Brewer will wear No. 73. He takes the number vacated by third-round NFL Draft pick Caedan Wallace, who is now with the New England Patriots.
