- Top honors on offense went to Hudson Card, who excelled on Saturday
- Deion Burks earned his second-best grade of the season behind only the performance against Fresno State in the opener
- George Burhenn, unsurprisingly, graded better as a pass catcher than a blocker, but he still earned a strong grade in his first extended action
- As a whole, Purdue scored better than I expected in pass protection
- Tyrone Tracy wraps up his stellar season with a strong grade

- Clean: 19-29, 251 yards, 3 TD (great grade)
- Under pressure: 2-5, 24 yards
- Not blitzed: 10-16, 139 yards, TD
- Blitzed: 11-18, 136 yards, 2 TD
- Play action: 8-10, 151 yards, 2 TD (elite grade)
- No play action: 13-24, 124 yards, TD
- Screen: 2-2, 11 yards

- Card’s average depth of target: 12.4 yards downfield
- Card attempted seven passes of 20+ yards and 12 more between 10 and 19 yards downfield. Add it up: more than half his pass attempts were downfield more than 10 yards.

Running game:

- 165 of Purdue’s 183 yards (PFF’s data) came after contact
- Purdue’s ball-carriers forced 11 missed tackles, including four by Hudson Card

- Purdue’s top-graded defender? Cam Allen, who picked off a pass in his final game as a Boilermaker
- A really rough day for Zion Steptoe, as Indiana targeted him early and often
- Purdue missed seven tackles, four coming from Dillon Thieneman
- Nic Scourton totaled six pressures of the opposing passer. Fantastic day to cap a huge season.
- Outside of Scourton, pass rush grades were rather ineffective
- Nice performance by Clyde Washington – his best of the season
