Welcome to Aggie Scoop, the newest source for all things Texas A&M recruiting and roster management, presented by On3.com.

We are excited to build a brand new platform for Aggie Scoop for the ground up led by myself, Tim Verghese, and we’re just getting started.

Access includes national coverage from On3’s team of experienced reporters and analysts like Chad Simmons, Jeremy Crabtree, Sam Spiegelman, Ivan Maisel, Charles Power, Matt Zenitz and others.

In addition to recruiting, analysis, and transfer portal news, Aggie Scoop will be dedicated to providing a message board that feels like a family for Texas A&M fans. Expect a heavily-moderated, no-bickering forum for inside scoop, team coverage, and much more. We aim to truly make this the best place for every Aggie fan to get news, analysis, and hang out with other Aggies.

What is On3?

On3 is the premier college sports database and digital media company for fans, media, coaches and athletes. Led by Shannon Terry, the founder of Rivals.com and 247Sports.com.

On3 will be composed of three primary pillars: stellar national college football, basketball and recruiting coverage; iconic fan publications that cover individual teams; and a recruiting and player database, replete with features that never have been seen before.

On3 at its core is a database and networking company that connects, educates and inspires fans, media, coaches and athletes. “On3 db,” is designed not only with fans and media in mind like prior iterations but also for players, coaches and brands. “On3 db” will do more than just display photos, stats, videos and rankings; it will allow players to control their content and communicate their message; provide NIL data directly to players, fans and coaches; and house an exclusive education section for players and their parents, among other features.

On3 builds, licenses, and acquires fan publications and team sites that capture the passion and voice of the fan through local, team-based coverage. These iconic team-based brands, combined with recognizable insiders, create an engaged community that captures the essence of college sports. But there is a big difference from our previous ventures. We intend for our team-sites to maintain their own identities as fan sites, putting the fan site brand and talent front and center, engaging with readers and creating content, not for a national news desk or a social algorithm, but rather for the fan.

Lead Recruiting Analyst – Tim Verghese

Hello, my name is Tim Verghese, I’m the lead recruiting analyst here at Aggie Scoop. All my life, I’ve been passionate about sports, specifically football. As I grew, I found my niche in football recruiting and decided to make it my career. I began my career in the media industry in 2017, my senior year of high school. In my final year of high school, I covered 40+ high school football games in the state of Texas as an intern for texashsfootball.com. After high school, I moved to Nebraska to pursue a degree in Sports Media & Communications. In my time in Lincoln, I interned at 247Sports for three years, covering Nebraska football and recruiting. I was also a sports writer for the Daily Nebraskan and site editor for The Old Coach, in addition to interning at Hudl.

I joined On3 in the summer of 2021 as a National News and Recruiting Desk contributor, before joining The Wolverine as a recruiting analyst in November. After nearly five months of covering Michigan recruiting, I’m returning to my home state of Texas to cover Texas A&M recruiting.

Though I’m new to the Texas A&M beat, I’m quite familiar with the program and have spent an extensive amount of time covering A&M players and recruits. In my time covering high school football and recruiting, I’ve covered Texas A&M players like Leon O’Neal, Isaiah Spiller, Haynes King, Devon Achane, Conner Weigman, Bryce Anderson, Denver Harris, Bobby Taylor, Kam Dewberry and more.

I’m ecstatic to hit the ground running and providing the best coverage of Texas A&M recruiting possible. I hope you will join us for the ride.
