Official visits are underway for top prospects around the country as we are halfway through the month of May.

Fifteen of 32 five-star prospects in the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — have already announced their college decisions.

Below are the top 25 classes in the 2025 cycle, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. We break down which programs have the top prospects in the country.

1. Ohio State — 94.498

Ohio State holds commitments from two of the nation’s top three cornerback recruits — Five-Star Plus+ CB Na’eem Offord and Five-Star Plus+ corner Devin Sanchez.

Their class also includes three additional top-75 prospects on the defensive side of the ball: Baltimore St. Frances cornerback Blake Woodby, Port Saint Lucie (Fla.) Vero Beach linebacker Tarvos Alford ad Philadelphia Imhotep Institute EDGE Zahir Mathis.

Bellefontaine (Ohio) five-star quarterback Tavien St. Clair is a standout signal-caller in the class. He’s joined by top recruits like Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer elite offensive tackle Carter Lowe and four-star tight end Nate Roberts — the latest to pledge to the Buckeyes.

Eight of the 12 future Tigers hail from the state of Louisiana, a recruiting priority for head coach Brian Kelly since he took over. In 2024, LSU signed 13 of the state’s top 17 prospects, including nine of the top 10.

Nine are projected to play on the offensive side of the ball at the next level, while cornerback Jaboree Antoine and linebackers Keylan Moses and Charles Ross represent the defense.

Top Commit: Cypress (Texas) Bridgeland four-star OT Ryan Fodje, No. 102 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Offense and in-state targets were the focus early on in the 2025 cycle for OU, with five of their first nine commitments hailing from the Sooner State and seven expected to play on offensive at the next level. Co-offensive coordinator Seth Littrell has his quarterback with four-star Kevin Sperry out of the Oklahoma City area. His pledge has helped spur on a string of receiver commitments, led by in-state four-star Elijah Thomas and Texas-based three-star Gracen Harris. The Sooners added another key piece to the puzzle on March 29 with the addition of four-star running back Tory Blaylock, who chose OU over Texas, Ohio State and a number of others.

On the defensive side, the Sooners nabbed three early commitments from linebacker Marcus James, EDGE Alexander Shieldnight and defensive lineman Ka’Mori Moore. They’ve added to that in a big way in April, landing commitments from four-star defensive lineman Trent Wilson, four-star cornerback Maliek Hawkins, and three-star safety Marcus Wimberly.

A month later, they added to their haul yet again with Midwest City (Okla.) Carl Albert four-star defensive back Trystan Haynes, one of five in-state commits in this cycle.

0 five-stars | 6 four-stars | 1 three-stars | 6 total commits
Top Commit: Texarkana (Texas) Pleasant Grove four-star EDGE Lance Jackson, No. 46 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

The class was kicked off with a bang back in June, as Saraland (Ala.) four-star quarterback K.J. Lacey pledged to the Longhorns. The gunslinger has continued to rise in the On3 Industry Ranking and now checks in as a top-10 player at his position.

Lacey has since been flanked by five others since December. Calhoun (Ga.) four-star tight end Emaree Winston and Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie four-star defensive lineman Brandon Brown committed to UT on back-to-back days.

Texarkana (Texas) Pleasant Grove four-star athlete Lance Jackson pledged in January to add some in-state defensive flair to the pledge list in Austin. He’s emerged as an elite recruit and now checks in atop the UT class as the No. 46 overall prospect.

In April, the Horns added two more touted in-state recruits to the fold. Tyler (Texas) Chapel Hill four-star running back Rickey Stewart Jr. is a former SMU pledge who committed while on The Forty Acres. Just two of the Aggies’ commits are not from Texas, one of whom is the highest-ranked prospect in the mix. Corona (Calif.) Centennial four-star quarterback Husan Longstreet is a centerpiece addition for Elko and Co. He was one of two prospects to commit on April 14, as he followed Denton (Texas) Ryan four-star interior offensive lineman Marcus Garcia.

Katy (Texas) Paetow four-star cornerback Deyjhon Pettaway is a top-175 recruit and top-25 corner in the cycle. Forney (Texas) four-star linebacker Kelvion Riggins is the No. 291 recruit in the nation, while Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair four-star defensive lineman Landon Rink kicked off the Aggies’ big April.

Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek four-star CB Cobey Sellers became the newest addition to the class on May 11, as he chose the Aggies over Texas and Oklahoma. Sellers is a top-200 pledge and the No. 20 CB in the nation.

On the offensive side, Thomas is flanked by Jacksonville Mandarin three-star quarterback Tramell Jones. The 6-foot, 185-pound signal-caller may be just the No. 32 QB in the cycle, but his stock has continued to rise since his pledge to FSU in April 2023.

On defense, Cocoa four-star EDGE Javion Hilson is a former Alabama pledge who joined the fold in Tallahassee in January following the retirement of Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban. Southlake (Texas) Carroll four-star tight end Jack Van Dorselaer is a top-250 recruit in the On3 Industry Ranking, while Buford (Ga.) three-star running back Justin Baker is a top-50 player at his position.

Memphis Sheffield four-star wide receiver Radarious Jackson is the latest addition to the class, as he chose the in-state school over Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. He is On3’s No. 79 overall prospect and No. 12 WR in the cycle.

On March 28, Nashville Ensworth four-star defensive lineman Ethan Utley joined the fold as the second highest-ranked pledge, choosing the Vols over Michigan, Texas and others. He became the third commit on the defensive side of the ball, flanking Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton three-star cornerback Dylan Lewis and Milton (Ga.) three-star CB Tyler Redmond.

15. Miami — 90.412

0 five-stars | 6 four-stars | 0 three-stars | 6 total commits

April brought a pair of tight end commitments for Miami. Cincinnati Lakota West four-star TE Luka Gilbert pledged on April 8 and was followed by Leo (Ind.) four-star TE Brock Schott less than a week later. Both are top-250 recruits and top-15 players at the position.

Tampa Armwood four-star running back Girard Pringle announced his commitment at the end of March, choosing the in-state school over the likes of Florida, Auburn, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
